Serendipity

Published by wilycool at 4:48 pm under wilycool Edit This

It’s believed that serendipity is making fortunate discoveries by accident, especially when one is looking for something completely different. In Physics and Science there have been quite a few serendipitous discoveries, like Alexander Fleming’s discover of the Penicillin.
Nevertheless, in our everyday life, sometimes we come across our own fortunate findings (nothing scientific, at least not from me) and that makes us wonder: is it just a coincidence? Or there’s something more to it?
See, when we apply serendipity to life in general it’s more connected with fate, destiny, chance or kismet. And these are things that leave me rather intrigued. I mean, we’re all gifted with free choice, but what if our so called “free choices” are part of a bigger plan?!

Sometimes I can’t help myself and I just question everything. Other times, I’m simply amazed on how certain things start to happen in sequence and it feels like we’re making a puzzle and we keep finding the right pieces to fit in next.
Perhaps our life is in fact a big puzzle and we can´t start building it from the middle or the end. Our experiences and obstacles that we have to overcome are merely pieces that will lead us to the next ones.
Maybe I’m just babbling… but if suddenly everything starts to make sense (even past experiences that are still hard to remember or difficult times, among other things) and you come across a serendipitous event that changes your life, look up and smile because your own puzzle (destiny) is getting more complete.
